Fall weather!

It was several weeks since I 'blogged' last but I suppose it hasn't been all that uneventful:
  • after much soul-searching Ian has decided to leave Memorial after his last exam in December. He arrives home late on December 15th. He has realized that his passions really do not lie with a 4 year BA in History! - his goal now is to work until August 2010 - living at home to save more money - then enroll either at UNBC, TRU or COTR taking Adventure Tourism. The first month or so after getting back to univ were very difficult for him, but now he is feeling comfortable with his decision. I believe he has made an excellent choice - glad he is finding his passion in life - or one of them - at a young age.
  • we got a new Helper last week, but she is moving on down Island to stay at a place with a few horses. No othe Helpers scheduled.
  • Friday NTVS participated in Nanaimo's 1st ever 'Wellness Fair for Older Adults' - I got to work at 10am, to Bowen Seniors Centre at 11, and left there around 7:30....very long day, but I hope relatively successful. The Fair was good, tho there could have been more people.

Today has been a very rainy day - which means that Tuesday's Guide visit to McNab's Corn Maze will be very, very muddy! But I'm sure the girls will still have lots of fun. Heather and I are also really looking forward to our Guide visit to the Port Theatre on Friday for the Susan Aglukark concert...free tickets courtesy of the Port Theatre Angels.

must run....family is crying for supper!
